FAQ’s

I’VE NEVER DONE POLE BEFORE, HOW DO I JOIN?

If you are new to pole and would like to try a beginners class, our beginner classes are at; Tuesday 8pm or Thursday 5.30pm. You can book here www.thepoleclub.as.me and use code TASTER for a discount on your first session.

All Fitness levels & abilities are welcome. You don’t need any particular strength or fitness level to start, your strength will come as you progress through the levels.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR/BRING TO CLASS?

For a pole class you need to wear shorts and a comfortable top and no jewelry to be worn whilst on the poles. Please bring water, and a towel if you get particularly sweaty. We provide cloths for cleaning the poles and wiping hands.

HOW DO I BOOK A PRIVATE LESSON?

If you would like to book a private lesson you need to do this directly with one of the instructors at The Pole Club – Melissa Jackson-Sankey (insta @dancing_sqiwell), or Morag Sewell (insta @morag_poleclub) Please message them directly through facebook or insta and if they have availability they will book you in.

Once you have been booked in for a private lesson you will receive a booking email. Please click the ‘change/cancel’ button and you’ll be given the chance to pay for your session.

HOW DO I STAY UP TO DATE WITH THE POLE CLUB AND GET PICTURES FROM CLASS?

If you have been attending classes and want to join the student group, please search ‘The Pole Club Student Group’ on Facebook and ask to join. An admin will approve if you attend classes.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN’T MAKE THE CLASS I’VE BOOKED?

If you can no longer attend a session you have booked onto, please remember our policy is 24 hour notice. With more than 24 hour notice you can reschedule yourself through the booking system or cancel. Please note refunds are not automatic, so please also drop a message with your bank details. Refunds will ONLY be sent with more than 24 hour notice of the session. If you are running late or can’t attend at short notice, please message your instructor directly to let them know you won’t be there.

I’M A BEGINNER BUT I WANT TO ATTEND POLE FLOW OR HEELS

Pole Flow and Heels are both choreography based classes. You don’t have to be intermediate to attend, but we do recommend you have attended atleast 6 beginner classes and are comfortable with the different hand positions, and spins. Pole heels are very high, so it is also recommended you have strong ankles to particpate in this class, but conditioning exercises will be included in the sessions too.

Pole Flow is run on a 6 week course of choreography. Please message Mel (@dancing_sqiwell) to find out where in the 6 week course they are before booking to check it is a good time to join.

WHEN CAN I JOIN IMPROVERS?

Once you are able to climb, confident in basic sits, static spins and invert on your own into a crucifix. Your instructor should let you know when you’re ready to move onto the next level.

HOW DO I FIND THE STUDIO?

The Pole Club is situated on the 2nd Floor of Easthampstead Works, Bracknell, Town Square, RG12 1BH. After 6pm access is via the back door with a key code, your instructor will give this to you after a first class, but on first class you will be met at the back door. You can park at Weather Way car park, which is a pay and display and the closest to the studio, but all the town centre parking is close by.
